How DIBs Training at ServiceNow Made Me a Better Straight-Old-White Guy

“Wow, I’ve grown.” Typically, I only use those three words when I step on the bathroom scale. But recently, I’ve had a noteworthy expansion in my awareness and perspective. Oddly, I had the epiphany that I’m a “better person” when I was browsing LinkedIn and happened across a group photograph of people I recognized.

I rarely give pictures like these a second glance or a second thought because boring group shots of friends and co-workers are so prevalent on social media sites. These types of photos are like white noise on the web to me. But this image struck me as different:

I work at ServiceNow, a California-based enterprise software company that “makes the world of work, work better for people.” In 2019, ServiceNow was honored by Fortune Magazine as one of the Best Workplaces for Diversity.
