Dumbasses Led by A-holes
If you need a simple explanation for the Trumpers shameful attempt to derail American democracy, consider the above
I don’t subscribe to simple answers for difficult, complex problems. But in our world of soundbites and short-attention spans, it seems sometimes it’s best to just have a mantra you can keep telling yourself so your head doesn’t explode.
So my simple mantra for all the un-American behavior that has happened in the U.S. Capitol before, on January 6, 2021, and after: “Dumbasses lead by assholes.”
It sounds flippant, but it rings true, doesn’t it?
And it’s really, really sad. These pathetic dumbass white guys are afraid of losing power, privilege, and a world where they are no longer at the center.
“Smart” ass GOP leaders know this and want to harness all that negative energy to help hang on to power despite being the minority party for years now and forevermore.
The Republican Party should forget all pretense and just change its name to the Regressive Party. They want to go back to the 1950s where POC and women of any color knew their place — and a time when you didn’t really need a good education to make good money.
